HISTORY OF DILLON QUALITY PLUS
Invention of dynamometers
The W.C. Dillon Company was established and the first dynamometer was sold. Dynamometers were originally developed for the telephone industry, but quickly diversified into other markets after the Army began using them for mine sweeps in World War II.
U.S. Patent Received For Running Line Cable Tension Meter
The W.C. Dillon company received patent #4,171,640 on October 23, 1979 for the first running line cable tension measuring device.
Global industry dominance
George Dillon, former president of W.C. Dillon Company, founded Dillon/Quality Plus and began distributing dynamometers worldwide.
Relocation and expansion
We relocated headquarters from California to the midwest, so we could provide premier service coast to coast (and beyond).

We are continuing the family tradition today. The company is run by 4th generation Dillon family members and enjoys the reputation of providing and servicing the finest dynamometers in the world.
